Case Study: What to Consider for a Basement and Ramp Grade

We had a project where there was a relatively steep curved ramp going down into a basement car park, so the challenge was figuring out what those ramps would look like and how they would work for low clearance vehicles.

We also had to ensure a vehicle could manoeuvre from the porte cochère into the basement so vehicles wouldn’t have to drive out of the site just to go down into the basement.

We then got to work on the basement itself: the owner required five parking spots in the basement and space was fairly tight.

Along with the architect, we came up with a detailed plan that took into account providing specific advice on how to achieve five spaces, requiring sound planning to get done.

If space is at a premium in your development, we're here to help.
