DAVID BEATON - DIRECTOR
About:
As the Founding Director of Quantum Traffic I have created a company that I have passion for, in creating a great organisation with strong relationships.
​
With over 10 years experience in Traffic Engineering Consulting I have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and a broad skillset across many disciplines.
Strengths and Interests:
My extensive experience includes working with multi-disciplinary teams and communicating with other professionals including town planners, building designers, architects, council officers, property developers, surveyors and lawyers.
​
I have a thorough knowledge of all relevant standards, design guidelines and current practices that ensure Clients get superior outcomes no matter the project type.
​
I appear as an expert traffic engineering witness before the Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) for clients and have a strong understanding of the current VCAT climate.
​
Leisure Activities:
Outside of work, you can typically find me spending time outside whether it be running, camping, at the beach, bike riding or playing with my 2 children. One of my favourite ways to waste a morning or afternoon is playing golf, with plans to start playing a lot more as my basketball prowess falls away.

BRENT HODGES - SENIOR ASSOCIATE
About:
As Senior Associate at Quantum Traffic I am excited by the chance to be involved with interesting and challenging traffic engineering projects.
​
Strengths and Interests:
Through my experience in private consulting and government roles, I have developed a strong traffic engineering skillset to assist you in achieving great results. My particular strengths are Traffic Impact Assessment Reports (TIAR), project development, road safety and design.
​
I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of great project outcomes. If I say I’ll do something – I will follow through. My ability to interact and communicate with clients, consultants and government authorities sets me apart from other traffic engineers.
​
I look forward to discussing your particular project requirements and achieving great outcomes in the traffic engineering space.

Leisure Activities:
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors including fishing and 4x4 adventures. I can also be found working away in my garden, trying to make my landscape plan a reality.

As a Senior Engineer at Quantum Traffic I understand that both technical knowledge and effective communication are critical to achieving successful outcomes.

Strengths and Interests:
With key interests in sustainable transport and all forms of transport modelling, I am well-placed to assist with the preparation of transport impact assessments, traffic & parking studies as well as a broad range of other traffic engineering services.
​
I maintain an up-to-date knowledge of best practice transport modelling methods (including microsimulation modelling) to provide clients with robust, personalised and timely advice, even on the more challenging projects.
